Semolina / rava upma step by step
- First pour 1tsp of ghee in a pan and fry rava in low flame for 5 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and transfer the rava to a plate.
- Slice the onions, slit green chillies, chop ginger and garlic finely.
- Heat the pan pour oil and pop mustard seeds, urad dall and chenna dall.
- Then add onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic. Fry these ingredients in low flame..
- Saute the onions nicely. Add water curry leaves and coriander leaves.
- Allow the water to boil. Then add salt and mix well.
- Now add rava slowly to the boiling water and start stirring quickly..
- Cook in low flame and make sure there are no lumps..
- Cover it with lid for 2_3 minutes. Then remove the lid and add one tsp of ghee around..
- Garnish with some coriander leaves and serve with chutney and sambar or idly podi.
